1 question, help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Dobby1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it NMP?

OpenStudy (dobby1):

switch the n and m the answer is MNP because if you look at the triangle where it says ABC it goes from A which has 3 arcs around the angle to B which has one arc then to c which has 2 arcs. and MNP is the only one listed that copies that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, thanks!

OpenStudy (dobby1):

np

OpenStudy (dobby1):

I would say B but I am not amazing at that I know it is not c or d because ASA stands for angle - side - angle and c and d are SAS or side - angle - side and to me I think b is a better choice than A

OpenStudy (dobby1):

I would say A because If you look at the pic their are 2 angles where their vertex's are touching each other making them verticle angles and verticle angles are congruent and they listed one angle that was congruent and one line that was congruent which would give us ASA and the only angle that copied the movement of HIJ is LKJ because it started and ended in the same place on its side of the figure.

OpenStudy (dobby1):

\[3v+2=7v-6\]

OpenStudy (dobby1):

now we have to simplify it the first step is to combine 7v and 3v

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok.

OpenStudy (dobby1):

giving us?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

v-4v?

OpenStudy (dobby1):

no just 4v because 7v -7v is just like subtracting 7 from 7 except you have a variable next to it making the answer 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok.

OpenStudy (dobby1):

now our equation looks like \[-4v+2=-6\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now what?

OpenStudy (dobby1):

sorry I was helping with dishes

OpenStudy (dobby1):

now we need to get 4v by its self we do that by subtracting from both sides so what do we get when we do that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2v?

OpenStudy (dobby1):

no it does not affect the -4v because because it does not have the variable v so it only effects the -6 and its self so this is what our equation look like now \[-4v=-6-2\] what should it look like after you subtract 2 from the negative 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-4?

OpenStudy (dobby1):

no -6-2 is just like 2+6 except the answer is a negative sign

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-8?

OpenStudy (dobby1):

yes

OpenStudy (dobby1):

now our equation looks like \[-4v=-8\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok. subtract -8 from both sides and you get 4v?

OpenStudy (dobby1):

no no no dont do that you are trying to find what v equals and if you subtracted -8 from both sides you would end up with -4v+8=0 because somthing - a negative number it becomes pluss that number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alrighht so what do we do?

OpenStudy (dobby1):

you divid -4 from both sides to get v by its self so our equation now looks like \[v=\frac{ -8 }{ -4 }\] so what happens after you divide -8 by -4. Hint: remember when you multiply or divide a negative number by another negative number you get a positive number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2?

OpenStudy (dobby1):

YES v=2 GREAT JOB

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so v=2 is the answer?

OpenStudy (dobby1):

Yes it is you did a great job

OpenStudy (dobby1):

I am working on this one with another girl right now and I dont know the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok.

OpenStudy (dobby1):

sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it AB=AD?

OpenStudy (dobby1):

Actually it might be

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it makes sense.

OpenStudy (dobby1):

yeah it does can I have a medal?

OpenStudy (dobby1):

Well you need to find out one more side that is congruent the first side is AC because they are the same line

OpenStudy (dobby1):

brb I am going to eat lunch

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok.

OpenStudy (dobby1):

sorry I was eating lunch
