"Apo-repressor of trp operon is an inactive form of repressor." Justify this statement.Select one of the options below as your answer: A. Apo-repressor can only bind to the operator site of trp operon when a tryptophan molecule, which is a co-repressor, binds to it. B. Apo-repressor acts as an inducer if there is a lesser amount of tryptophan present in the surrounding medium and remains inactive when sufficient tryptophan is present. C. Apo-repressor cannot bind to the operator site of trp operon if a tryptophan molecule, which is a co- repressor, binds to it.
Is it a?
u ready to work out this wid me?
Yupp.
do u know wats d function of trp operon?
No.. I'm seriously terrible at biology. Basically anything to do with science.
actually u know wat...i dint read ur comment:P if u hv worked it out and got d ans den u r right
see the ans is A. but if u want to know how its is A then i can help u out..
Well, i kinda just guessed it was A. B and C didn't really sound like they fit with what the question was asking.
@abbie repressor is the molecule which does not allow a gene to express and binds at the operator site. so it can never acta as an inducer...
Thank you for helping me understand.
ur welcome...:D
