Why were internment camps established in the United States? a. to isolate people protesting the war b. to provide homes for temporary farm workers c. to train workers in new industrial skills d. to isolate people believed to be threats

D. The Japanese in WW2 weren't very threatening here in the US but better safe then sorry and keep them away :P

OpenStudy (jaketylerbarreto):

It was a mistake, but it was done as a part of the early war hyteria of WWII in the fear that the Japanese Americans might have a stronger Loyalty to their ancestery then to their adopted nation. The president ordered this, and it was called order 9066. It was government orders, so it was perfectly legal at the time.

But I didn't think they protested, and was only done because of their nationality and the possibility of them turning on America...

What are you unsure of Dragan? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Like I said last time, I didn't think it was done because the Japs protested but so the government can be sure to be safe from their own citizens
