A system of two linear equations is graphed. The lines have the same slope, but different intercepts. How many solutions does the system have? A. 0 B. 1 C. 2 D. infinite @snowxangel

@Chineseboy15

OpenStudy (snowxangel):

I think it's 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They only have one becaues they intersect once

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait if they have different intercept that mens they aren't touching so there is no soultions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why? Sammy224

OpenStudy (anonymous):

becaues if they are going the same way on two differnt points they wont touch

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So there will not be a system?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Pretty much

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you. I misunderstand the meaning of the word "system". I am a Chinese. Can you explain this word to me please? Sammy224

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The system oy equation is like this y=3/4x+4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you need more explaination

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, please.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sammy224?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah sorry so if you take the equation the four is the interept and the 3/4 is the slope you would graph it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you. Now I understand.
