So basically, I'm writing a health assessment on a patient with depression, but I don't have an actual patient to use as a case study therefore I have to fabricate one. My Question is if you suffer with depression, how does it affect your life and standards of living? How does it affect your social life, etc, etc. Any feed back would be grateful as it has to be in on the 4th of November ><

If you have depression, you would feel sad all the time, to start with. The modern "emo" stereotype defines such people as always depressed, moody, and prone to "woe is me" (minus the drama) rants of-sorts. Of course, (most of) this is incorrect. In truth, depression, being psychological, has a huge effect on your mindset in any situation. People with depression often find themselves feeling helpless or useless, thinking that they cannot do anything; this perspective ends up making them not want to perform the task at hand, so they will sit there and do nothing, or go do something else that captures their fancy. Therefore, the depressed person would waste a lot of better-used time just trying to avoid whatever makes them feel such an emotion. --- Source: My friend's family suffers from depression.
