i need help with understanding algebraic equations such as. y^2+y+1/ 2y-2y^4 what would the exclusion be? or how would i find it?
Well, you don't want your equation to end up looking like this: \[\frac{ stuff }{ 0 }\] That would become an undefined answer/infinity, which is not what this equations is supposed to represent
so first, find values of y that would make (2y-2y^4)
then, the exclusion would look something like this: \[y = \mathbb{R}, y \neq yadda\]
ok. but what is R supposed to stand for? im not familiar
i got 1+y+y^2,y=0,1-y=0 would this be correct?
oh, that just means "all real numbers". Basically, any number you can think of. I got y=0 and 1. Where did you get the -1?
