Weak acid equilibrium

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A 0.400M solution of HF has a pH of 2.20. Enough water is added to the solution to exactly double its volume. The pH of the resulting solution would be a)1.10 b)4.40 c)slightly less than 1.10 d)slightly more than 1.10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I first just halved the 0.4 to 0.2 and get answer 2.07 because Ka of HF = 3.5 *10^-4. than I used the entire ICE chart got 2.3... none of the options...

OpenStudy (vincent-lyon.fr):

I think the answers should be : c) slightly less than 2.20 d) slightly more than 2.20

OpenStudy (vincent-lyon.fr):

If HCl had been diluted 10 times, pH would have increased by 0.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lets assume the acid is HF and the options are those above.
