I need to graph this equation f(x)=x-1 The x-values are: -2, -1, 0, 1, 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, at least solve it. I can graph it just fine.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solve for what x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=y+1

OpenStudy (mertsj):

The equation says that y is 1 less than x. So if x = 4, y = 3, if x = 5, y = 4, if x = -2, y = -3 and so on. Get some ordered pairs, plot them and draw the line.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's supposed to be like this: say I'm going to do the first x-value (which is -2) so you'd put f(-2). I'm supposed to solve using that x-value for the y to create the ordered pair.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(-2)=-3 you get (-2,-3) f(-1)=-2 you get (-1, -2) f(x) is the same thing as y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(0)=-1 do you see the pattern? (0,-1) (1,0) (2, 1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, thanks!
