The molecules in compound AB are strongly polar, while the molecules in compound XY are nonpolar. Which substance probably has the higher boiling point?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

AB would have a higher boiling point because it has dipole-dipole forces due to being polar. XY only has dispersion forces associated with it, as far as we know. So it takes more energy, indicated a higher BP, to break AB apart.
