What is the magnetic filed strength? Any help is great! (: An electron is moving at 7.4x10^5 m/s perpendicular to a magnetic field. It experiences a force of -2.0x10^-13 N.

\[ \textbf F_B = q \textbf v \times \textbf B\] \[ F_B = qvB \sin \theta\] Theta is the angle between the velocity and the magnetic field - since the force and the velocity are perpendicular, the velocity and the magnetic field will also be perpendicular, so theta = 90º; sin 90º = 1 \[B=\frac{ F_B}{qv} \] Also remember that the charge is negative, and the force is in the negative y direction, so the resultant magnetic force will be in the positive z direction (out of the page).

Is 1.7 T correct? @AllTehMaffs

@J.Velasquez Yup yup ^_^ (sorry for the late response)
