Please please help!! I give medals!! Which atomic model describes the atom as a nucleus surrounded by electrons that travel as waves in the electron cloud? Dalton's atomic model. Thomson's atomic model. Rutherford's atomic model. The current atomic model.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we ll go through each one.. what u know about Dalton's atomic model? (clue he didn't have any atomic model :D :D)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know nothing about any of them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its on my pre assesment so I havent learned it yet

OpenStudy (anonymous):

don't u know dalton was the one who coined the hypothetis that atoms are indivisible?

OpenStudy (mikeyymonroe):

cant really help you here but what i know its that if we are talking about waves and atoms then De Broglies model is what your looking for. he created the wave model.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so Dalton is out of the picture mikey u are right ^_^.. he did came up with particle's exhibiting wave properties.. very good :P

OpenStudy (mikeyymonroe):

why thank you, i tip my hat to you sir. -tips my non-exsistant hat- and in my opinoin id go with D, the current model, but thats just me.

OpenStudy (mikeyymonroe):

this one represents the electron cloud but i wouldnt say that the electrons are moving in a wave pattern more of a circular motion.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it talks about things called as ORBITALS.. and that is basically the wave model

OpenStudy (mikeyymonroe):

so what would your answer me @Mashy ?
