what is the energy need to boil 1kg water?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the amount of energy mainly depends upon two things... initial water temperature and water quantity... lets take 30 C of initial temperature and 1 kg of water as you said. energy = 4.18*(1000)*(100-30) here, 4.18 is sp.heat of water to be heated to boil, and 1000 is in grams of 1 kg we taken, and we taken 100 because water boiling point matches with that....
