If I put a piece of zinc in 50mL of 3M HCl, when I add twice the amount of acid, what will be the results?

Remember the reaction between Zinc and HCl, Zn(s) + 2HCl(aq) --> ZnCl2(aq) + H2(g) When it is combined, it will produce Zinc Chloride and Hydrogen. Since the reaction is usually a 1:1 mol reaction, with your 3M HCl, what do you think will happen? :)
