Please Help Me Understand:::: Determine an elements ionic charge based on its location on the periodic table... Then write the correct ionic formula when given two elements that bond ionically.

Ok, since you asked nicely. The left hand side group 1, 2 and 3 are metals. Metals lose electrons and will give positive ions. The right hand side are non metals, they gain electrons and give you negative ions. It gets better. The first group elements, lose 1 electron, the second group lose 2 electrons and the third group (Aluminium) loses 3 e. On the other end, group 7 gains 1 electron, group 6 gains 2 and group 5 can gain 3 electrons. Now you have everything you need to answer your question.
