OpenStudy (anonymous):

a current of 6A is drawn from 120V line. what power is being developed? how much energy in joule and kwh is expended if the current is drawn steadily for 1week..

OpenStudy (kropot72):

Power = voltage * current = 120 * 6 = ? watts The joule = watt - second. Therefore the energy in joules if the current is drawn steadily for a week = power (watts) * number of seconds in a week. The number of kilowatt - hours expended if the current is drawn for a week = (power (watts) / 1000) * number of hours in a week.
