If there are 77 electrons in a neutral atom then how many protons will be in the same atom?

OpenStudy (kainui):

Well if it's neutral that means there's no charge. So all the negative charges from the electrons are exactly cancelled by the charges of the protons. Since electrons are -1 charge each and protons are +1 each, as an example if you have 20 electrons and 20 protons, then you will have a neutral atom since -20+20=0, which is neutral.
