@amistre64

OpenStudy (amistre64):

there is a useful property pertaining to the slopes of perpendicular lines ... if you know the slope of one line, you can find the perp slope of the other line

OpenStudy (amistre64):

that property is: slope1 times slope 2 = -1

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the equation will be: y = (perp slope) x + k such that k = -2 -(perp slope)(4)

Sorry bout that, I stepped away from my computer to do something. :)

Would the answer be y = -3x + 10? @amistre64
