@aurorablue01 can you please help me when your done

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what's the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont know how to graph y=1/4(x-2)^2 and x-2=1/8(y+1)^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, get all the variables on one side and integers on the other side. So the two equations are: 6y + 9x = 15 4y + 6x = 10 You might notice that if you multiply the bottom equation by 1.5 you get the exact same equation as the top one. If you use algebraic methods everything always reduces down to 0 = 0. So in fact there are multiple possible answers. One possibly answer is y = 1 and x = 1, another possibility is y = 2 and x = 1/3. See for yourself, there are an infinite amount of answers.

ok... hold on a sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*wink wink* go to https://www.desmos.com/calculator and type in your equation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know it's kinda cheating but still it's easy :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And the long response was for Pooksie. Answering her question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Try substituting any integers for y. then play with it a bit to get the corresponding x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem! :)
