what is 9 and 1,749/10,000 as a decimal number? please help!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you see how there are 4 zeros in the number 10,000 that means we move the decimal to the left 4 times with the number 1749. so now it has become .1749 do you see how I turned that fraction into a decimal?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thats what i got, but i was making sure cause actually i put a comma in .1749 (.1,749) like that which made me get it wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so we take the .1749 and the 9 and combine them to get 9.1749

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya, don't do a comma, just do numbers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k thxs

OpenStudy (charlotte123):

Yep!

OpenStudy (charlotte123):

Don't you dare Sham O_o

OpenStudy (shamil98):

1,749/10,000 move the decimal places over equal to how many zeroes there are. 4 zeroes so 0.1749 plus 9 so 9.1749

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thxs shamil98
