Complete the table for the function and find the indicated limit.
@hartnn
Here is the table
Input your x values into the equation and evaluate. \[\large \lim_{x \rightarrow 0}\frac{ x^3 - 6x + 8 }{ x-2 }\] \[\large \lim_{x \rightarrow 0.1}\frac{ (0.1)^3 - 6(0.1) + 8 }{ (0.1)-2 }\]
the answer is -2.095 to the nearest 10th is -2.10 but it was marked as wron answer Here are my choice @shamil98
@shamil98 I choose choice B and it was graded wrong A. -1.22843; -1.20298; -1.20030; -1.19970; -1.19699; -1.16858 limit = -1.20 B. -2.18529; -2.10895; -2.10090; -2.09910; -2.09096; -2.00574 limit = -2.10 C. -4.09476; -4.00995; -4.00100; -3.99900; -3.98995; -3.89526 limit = -4.0 D. 4.09476; 4.00995; 4.00100; 3.99900; 3.98995; 3.89526 limit = 4.0
@hartnn There is difference when calculating as 0.1 and -0.1 i think -0.1 is the correct way to calculate.. if so then C is correct right
@shamil98 i think u made a typo when you were writing the formula (-0.1) is right.. isnt it
I choose the value of x as 0.1, ( the last value on your table)
I choose choice B and it was graded wrong ..how come
