1. Where did Julius Caesar live and conquer? Where did he fight some of his most famous battles?

Julius Caesar lived in Rome, he conquered Gaul, Spain, Britain, Germany, and Egypt.Some of Caesar's most famous battles were at Alesia, Pharsalus, Zela and Munda. Julius was born on 13th of July 100 BC and died( he was assasinated) on 15th March 44 BC.

He visited Britain with military forces twice, in 55 and 54 BC, and left the place bloody but unconquered, in spite of his famous saying "I came, I saw, I conquered". The Roman conquest of Britain took place after AD 43.

Brutus lived in Rome,and was a rich aristocrat,so didn't have to work. He participated in the politics of Rome because he was a Senator,so attended the Senate on a regular basis.

Marcus Junius Brutus (early June 85 BC – late October 42 BC), often referred to simply as Brutus, was a politician of the late Roman Republic. He is best known in modern times for taking a leading role in the assassination of Julius Caesar. If he had lived today, he would of been put in prison for the assassination and would died there.

Why did the public want Caesar to become king? Why did Brutus feel uncomfortable about this? What would it mean for the republic to have a king?
