How can you tell the vertical shift of a graph based by just looking at it?

depends on the function again, but if it is a sine function then since sine goes from -1 to 1, if your graph goes from say 4 to 6 then it is lifted up 5 units

so the highest point of this one graph is 5 and the lowest one is 1, what does that mean?
