What is the simplest form of the radical expression?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\sqrt{2}+\sqrt{5}\div \sqrt{2}-\sqrt{5}\]

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Is it a multiple choice question? If so, is there an option of 1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, it is not multiple choice.

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

I got 1 because I first found the square root of both 2 and 5. Square root of 2 is rounded to be 1. The square root of 5, is approximately 2. So you can evaluate from there.

I thought we were supposed to foil?

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

I believe FOIL is used to evaluate with polynomial equations etc..
