PLEASE PLEASE HELP Consider two lines that form a linear system. Line 1: slope = 2 and x-intercept of (4,0) Line 2: slope = 2 and x-intercept of (-2,0) Part 1: What type of lines would this be? Part 2: How many solutions does this system have?

First let me ask, do you know how to graph?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not really. I'm on a test and I'm extremely frustrated. I'm just trying to get done. :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is pre-algebra if I'm right. Were you not taught how?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah it is, and it wasn't fully explained to me.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This test is timed though and I really need to finish. /:

I'll see what I can do. In the meantime, @Luigi0210 Luigi, try to help as well

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you so much!

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Well if they have the same slope they're parallel lines, right?

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

And if they're parallel lines that means they never cross, and if they never cross, they never intersect, if they never intersect, then they have no solutions.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THANK YOU.

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Yup :)
