help I give metal for any answer that is correct. thank in advance. How many grams of magnesium oxide can be produced when 125 g Mg react with 102 g O2? Unbalanced equation: Mg + O2 → MgO Show, or explain, all of your work along with the final answer

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

I would balance the reaction, then calculate the grams of magnesium oxide using both the amount of magnesium and oxygen. The smaller amount would be what can be produced since it would be the limiting reactant.

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

To balance the reaction, you must have what comes in going out. So, 2Mg + O2 -> 2MgO.

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

I'd like to know that you understand what I have done so far before I continue.
