Which best describes the population of Antarctica? (Points : 1) A few thousand scientists One-hundred thousand natives About ten thousand soldiers One million immigrants
How could you even dignify asking this question?
I wasn't for sure thank you very much
There are no native peoples in the Antarctic, only scientists and people who work in support of research there. This does include some military members, notably at the weather stations. The vast majority of residents are employed by governments or international scientific agencies. The actual number there year-round is about 1000, but this can increase to 5000 or more during the summer months. Concerns about climate and polar ice have increased the number of activities being conducted since 2007. As many as 70,000 "expedition tourists"visited Antarctica in 2009, mostly by sea during the summer (January to March).
