Well velocity isn't a constant in a pendulum, you would have to use simple harmonic motion equations

Just use conservation of energy \[\large \Delta PE = \Delta KE\]so \[\large mgh = 0.5 m v^2\] where h is the max height of the pendulum above it's equilibrium position.

I see, do I need to know the bob's height from the ground?

No, just the change in height from the lowest point to the highest.
