Hello everyone. :) If anyone could revise my paragraph for English that would be lovely. :) We had to look at John F. Kennedy's Inaugural Address and analyze the rhetorical strategies he used. My teacher already told me what I had for the strategies was right but I was wondering if you guys could look at content and just how I phrase things?

When John F. Kennedy presented his Inaugural Address, he said a quote that is still remembered to this day. This quote was strategically developed with three types of rhetorical strategies. Kennedy first starts off this statement with “My fellow Americans.” By saying this he makes a connection with the audience. This phrase also makes him more trustworthy and relatable while also creating a sense of unity throughout the audience. Some individuals though might have differing views from Kennedy so he is trying to unite them for a common problem and goal. The next simple yet well-developed phrase is “your country.” Your gives you a sense of ownership. And usually ownership provokes a feeling of responsibility. This thing is yours and you need to take care of it and the problems it might have. Kennedy wants everyone to work together towards the US’s problems. By doing this, he makes the audience feel as if they are a part of something bigger. At the end of this quote Kennedy says “ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” This phrase utilizes parallelism and it creates a rhythm but more importantly emphasizes information for Kennedy to make his point. This helps to make his point more memorable and impactful. This specific statement was beautifully and thoughtfully constructed.
