Could there be a way people can search through their messages to be able to find a certain message faster?? I know I have needed to find an older message, but I either can't find it or give up. My idea was to be able to search messages by: ~user ~latest date to earliest date ~earliest date to latest date ~or anything else people can think of Or it could be searching words that you know were in the message.
i really have no idea sorry :/
That is a terrific idea! You can kinda search by user already. Just go to their profile, and click either questions asked or answered
@PixieDust1 I mean messages like PMs not questions, but questions would be cool too.
that would be more efficient, though
Totally!
That would be awesome!
Why haven't I ever thought of that?! GREAT IDEA! @esshotwired
Thanks @charlotte123
were you get all ur messages at the bottom it will say view all messages hit that and you can look at sent and received messages.
there is already a way!!!!!!!! lol
yeah but when u do that i mean you can search through all your messages to find a certain one faster
Like a search box correct?
yes
you would have to talk to Preetha about it so I will tag her kk???
You should ask Preetha...

Hi, This has already been addressed, and the developers are well aware. They are working on bettering the site! A better layout and new features are coming to OpenStudy! I hope you're all anticipating! :-)
yay!! we are!!!
I can't wait.
This sounds great! Happy holidays everyone! :)
Ctrl+F
I know about ctrl+f but in order to do so for ALL your messages, you have to scroll a lot to pull up all your past messages to then use ctrl+f
Folks, I know search has been something everyone has been asking for and we definitely have that on our roadmap, so stay tuned. Once we stabilize and improve few things on the site we will start adding this and other features you've been asking for :) Happy New Year everyone!
Happy new Year 2014!! @c0decracker :) you have an awesome year ahead :) :)
If using the Chrome browser and prior to starting work on a problem, copy and save the IP address up at the top of the web page. For example, this one: http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/52af610ee4b0b09acc805f40
Use this all time on Mathematica attachments
would be nice
