OpenStudy (yamyam70):

What is the range of y = log x + 2? (2,∞) [ 1,∞) { 2,∞) (-∞,∞)

OpenStudy (yamyam70):

{ 2,∞) ? right ?

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

No guessing... and remember, it's *range* not domain...

OpenStudy (yamyam70):

the range is, -infi. , + infi. so, if we add 2..

OpenStudy (yamyam70):

woudn't it be a bracket ?

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Range is the set of all numbers that y could possibly take... a simple way to do this is to try to isolate x... can you do that?

OpenStudy (yamyam70):

transpose? or change to exponential ?

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

change to exponential seems to work :)

OpenStudy (yamyam70):

Thanks for the idea :)

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

though, feel free to post your final answer...
