I just finished my BsC Maths degree in England and I just realised that throughout the 3 years there was no geometry taught to us at all. Is this the same in other countries? Can u suggest a place where I can learn some geometry or a good book that might help me.
honestly, go to youtube. There are lots of great videos for math on there that have helped me out a lot. Give me a second and I can find a few to start you off if you'd like :)
I'm in New York. Just checked the course listing for a math major in my school. It requires the generic calc classes. Then, you need 2 classes out of about 10 choices. Most of them are linear algebra, numerical analysis and abstract stuff although there's one called Foundations of Geometry http://www.brooklyn.cuny.edu/courses/acad/program_info.jsp?major=073&div=U&dept_code=60&dept_id=90#073
THanks for replying. I am Hungarian and might continue my studies home. However I just talked with some1 from home who told me that maths students have 4 semesters of geometry and 2 differential geometry.
It is only 2 required where I am from.
Anyway thanks for the youtube link, I will go through it
