easy medal Which diagram correctly shows that two points do not create a unique line in elliptical geometry?

OpenStudy (theislander):

Directrix (directrix):

I'm thinking that elliptical geometry is also known as spherical geometry where lines are great circles of the sphere. If that is correct, then think about lines of longitude on the earth (globe). If these great circles pass through both what would be the north and south poles as the "two points," would a unique "line" be formed? More than one?

OpenStudy (theislander):

yeah, im thinking the same thing. im leaning towards the answer being C

Directrix (directrix):

Look at some of the lines of longitude here: http://tinyurl.com/lotp7nj

Directrix (directrix):

I'm thinking that C is the correct option, too.

OpenStudy (theislander):

thanks for the help, im gonna go with C

You are welcome.
