Parallel and Perpendicular

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Parallel, same slope or if it's m it is going to be m for another parallel line. perpendicular slope for a slope m, perpendicular slope is going to be -1/m

OpenStudy (anonymous):

may someone explain this 2 me

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Do you see that 2 slope are exactly the same?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know the equation y=mx+b ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if 2 equations have same "m" they are parallel lines

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i do so most likely to me my answer would be B

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

YES!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah,that's correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank u so much i was correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what if they are perpendicular? what do you think will be the "m" of the other equation?
