• What utensils would be unavailable to you in Ancient times, like Israelite and Egyptian times?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ahhhh, is it multiple choice? If not, I'd guess a stick lol

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

silverware---any utensils made up of metal

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

or stainless steel

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh wait, I misread the question and was thinking of the Neanderthal people lol. I think that they had silverware like texaschic said, and I think they like chisels and stuff.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Uhh, maybe sledgehammers? I really don't know haha

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

they probably used wooden spoons and copper pots and stuff like that

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

they probably used a lot of stuff made up of clay

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

but as far as stainless steel...they didn't have that then

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@texaschic101 When? For the Neanderthals or the Israelites and Egyptians?

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

stainless steel didn't come around until 1911

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@texaschic101 Is correct, they most likely would NOT have stainless steal, nor steal. Clay utensils are the most common utensils that would be used, though the Israelite and Egyptians mostly ate by their own hands. (It was a custom, I believe Jewish and Muslims still do this some times too). Cooper/Bronze utensils were only given to high wealth families, so a commoner would never touch metal type utensils. (Clay is common though, it was used for many things, vases, storage pots, etc).
