Which statement correctly explains whether or not this equation is a balanced equation? KMnO4 + HCl → KCl + MnCl2 + H2O + Cl2

A. The equation is not balanced because the number of atoms of each element on the left is not equal to their numbers on the right. B. The equation is not balanced because there are not any numbers in front of the compounds. C. The equation is balanced because it has equal amounts of reactants and products. D. The equation is balanced because it has one of each compound.
Answer is A, you can see there are 4 Oxygen atoms on the left hand side and only 1 on the right hand side
