Hiya, I need help finding the domain of a ln function F(x)= ln(x^3 +x^2-5x+3) thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

suppose y = ln(v), then v > 0. in your case, \(v = x^3+x^2-5x+3\) so \( x^3+x^2-5x+3>0\) you'll need to find the zeros of that polynomial and then check inbetween to see where the function is > 0.

Ok, thanks thanks
