twice a number is 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To get the answer to this you would have to do the square root. Do you know how to do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we don't know if he meant squaring or multiplying. If squaring, listen to @Victoria_Davis_2018 :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You have to get the square root to figure out exactly which numbers to use to get 6 but only using the same number. Once you square it then when you multiply the answer by itself then you would get 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3 times itself is not 6 its 9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

BTW @Beaker and @canete welcome to Openstudy!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

twice 3 is six and this is the answer. Why are such questions asked here?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok yes thats right, sorry I was reading it differently.

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

'twice' is like '2 times'

OpenStudy (anonymous):

isn't it just 2x = 6 LOL its not that complicated

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah I realize that now, but I was thinking that like you could only use one number.

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

2n = 6 n = 3

OpenStudy (firejay5):

the answer is 3, because 3 x 2 = 6
