OpenStudy (anonymous):

a) If we let y = 0, then -2x +5(0) = 10, so x = -5, and thus the x-intercept is -5. If we let x = 0, then -2(0) + 5y = 10, so y = 2, and thus the y-intercept is 2. From the graphs, we see that line a) has x-intercept -5 and y-intercept 2.
