Sorry to be posting in the math forum >.> I'm not sure what kind of soil I should go with, Scott is a farmer hoping to raise a large corn crop. To do this, he needs soils rich in organic material. Unfortunately, his soils are a silty clay loam. Using the following soil triangle, propose a detailed plan for how Scott could improve his soil quality.

Soil texture triangle. Silty clay loam soil is approximately 20 percent or less sand, 25 to 40 percent clay, and 40 to 70 percent silt.

I'm a gardener and I can't answer the question from this soil triangle, I would mulch heavily with organics in the fall for a spring crop.

which texture should i go with?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you want loamy soils near the center of the triangle. http://www.winfield.com/Farmer/Croplan/Agronomy/Corn/DUCM04_076409
