OpenStudy (lena772):

state amplitude period and phase shift for the function (once again ie browser plz wait for attachment)

OpenStudy (lena772):

OpenStudy (ybarrap):

$$ f(x)=A\sin(\cfrac{2\pi}{T}+\phi) $$ A is amplitude \(T\) is period \(\phi\) is phase Now just match each of these up with \(your\) equation.

OpenStudy (lena772):

f(x)=3sin(2theta+pi) so amplitude is 3, phase is pi and what is the period?

OpenStudy (lena772):

@ybarrap

OpenStudy (ybarrap):

I assume that there is a typo in the question because f(x) has no x in the sinusoid, so I'm taking \(x=\theta\) as the variable. $$ f(\theta)=A\sin(\cfrac{2\pi}{T}\theta+\phi) $$ With \(\theta\) as the variable, so $$ 2=\cfrac{2\pi}{T}\\ \implies T=\pi $$ If we don't assume that \(\theta\) is the variable, then there would be no period.

OpenStudy (lena772):

but my values for phase and amplitude are correct?

OpenStudy (lena772):

@ybarrap

OpenStudy (ybarrap):

yes
