Can someone please explain the parts of sentences? I can learn every subject but not english/languages! not even my own native language. I find learning languages boring. So can someone just tell me the basic stuff and derp
it involves subject predicate direct object indirect object predicate noun predicate adjective
@ganeshie8
Predicates give information on the subject.
The subject is what or whom the sentence is about. The predicate gives information about the subject (credit to be Be_Divergent13). A direct object is noun phrase indicating a person or thing that is the recipient of the action of a transitive verb, for example the dog in Jeremy fed the dog. An indirect object is a noun phrase referring to someone or something that is affected by the action of a transitive verb (typically as a recipient), but is not the primary object (e.g. him in give him the book ). A predicate noun is a noun or pronoun which follows the verb and describes or renames the subject. A predicate adjective is an adjective that modifies the noun or a pronoun in a sentence.
