Can you help me determine the slope of BE and AE ?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Slope of BE is 5 and AE is 5/4
OpenStudy (anonymous):
And the question is asking for the simplest form of that .. can you explain how to do that ?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Slope of a line is equal to tan(theta) where theta is the angle formed by the line with the positive x-axis
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I know that slope is rise over run , I just don't understand how to put 5 over 5/4 into a simpler form .

You cant

When the numerator and denominator are co prime then that is considered to be the simplest form. Co prime means that they have no common divisor.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
But 5 over 5/4 isn't an answer choice ..
OpenStudy (anonymous):
4 is , 5/4 is , 25/4 is , and 5 is .
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I'm pretty sure i'm right
