@phi
OpenStudy (texaschic101):
(1,1) x1 = 1 and y1 = 1
(3,5) x2 = 3 and y2 = 5
slope(m) = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)
now we sub
slope = (5 - 1) / (3 - 1)
slope = 4/2
slope = 2
perpendicular slope has negative reciprocal slope. All that means is " flip " the slope and change the sign. So are new slope will be -1/2, because that is the negative reciprocal of 2.
-1/2 is the same as -.5
that pretty much just leaves one answer choice that will work and that is answer choice B

is B the correct answer @eliassaab
