Evaluate summation of negative quantity n minus 5 end quantity from n equals 2 to 8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\sum_{n=2}^{8} - (n-5)\]

OpenStudy (dape):

That sum is probably fastest to just write out and calculate, so put in n=2 plus n=3 plus =4, etc up to 8 and then stop. So it's just: \[-(2-5)+(-(3-5))+(-(4-5))+...+(-(8-5))\]

That sum is probably fastest to just write out and calculate, so put in n=2 plus n=3 plus =4, etc up to 8 and then stop. So it's just: −(2−5)+(−(3−5))+(−(4−5))+...+(−(8−5))

Uhm, you just copied and pasted what @dape wrote
