http://prntscr.com/2jbngq I only have to do number 61 though..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3^-1= 1/3 1/ 6 ^-1 = 6 try to do it youself now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry I don't exactly see how you did that...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@divu.mkr

OpenStudy (anonymous):

inverse of a number is that constant on which multiplication of both two will be equal to zero

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so thats how i did that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well would it be like 500^−2 =1/500^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeppers did that correctly...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Really? But how would I put that on the table..?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i gave you definition and solved two of them for you...now its your turn

OpenStudy (phi):

Each is the "flip" of the other what ever number is in one row, its "flip" (multiplicative inverse) is in the other row.

OpenStudy (phi):

Example: 3 (which can be written as 3/1) its flip is ⅓

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh now I get it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But what would be the flip for 5/8 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8/5?

OpenStudy (phi):

yes. top and bottom are swapped.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright I got it, thanks guys! @phi @divu.mkr

OpenStudy (phi):

when you do 0.5 you could write it 1/0.5 but that is *very ugly* change 0.5 to ½ now do the flip

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah that's what I did cx and did 2/1 cx
