Can someone read my lab report and tell me if it's okay?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@My15girl

OpenStudy (aaronq):

would you mind posting it as a pdf file?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll try. Give me one sec.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my15girl what type of chemistry class is this? its regular? or more advanced?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's just a regular chemistry class

OpenStudy (aaronq):

it's great, except "The exact amount of titrant must be added to the acidic solution for a chemical reaction to occur. This is an indicator that enough of the standard solution was added for an equalization of moles between the analyte and titrant within the aqueous solution. In the following experiment, the indicator was that the beginning of the aqueous solution changing from a colorless liquid to a light pink." There are several things incorrect here, 1. regardless of how much titrant, a chemical reaction will occur, that is, you don't need an equimolar amount to have a chemical reaction. You do need the same amount of moles of acid and base to complete the reaction, as in achieve pH neutrality. 2. Sure, the indication that the solution was neutral, in terms of pH, is that the solution turned pink. But that is not an \(indicator\) in terms of titrations. You should review what an indicator is. (You probably used phenolphthalein) Also, you spelled "Trial" incorrect in your chart. Other than that, good job !

Thank you. This is why it's good to get another person to read over your work. :)

OpenStudy (aaronq):

haha most definitely ! i always re-read my stuff.. like 5 times. I hope you don't think i was too harsh, you did a very good job.

I love getting others opinions on how I can improve. :) The only way to get better. lol
