My science teacher tells me that light and sound are of the same wave length. This statement spurred on a few questioins such as: If that is so, and if at a certain point you stop hearing sound or seeing light.. does it eventually turn into the other? Will sound at a certain point (unobservable, obviously) turn into light? Could we see... sound?
Welcome to OpenStudy. I think light waves are much smaller than sounds waves though. But to entertain the curiosity, I would say no since they are different types of waves.
That makes much more sense than beeing able to see sound. I'm pretty positive that is impossible, but the enire class period was taken up trying to answer this one quesion.
So thank you.
I'm thinking, if you want to see with your eyes, then no, because our eyes are designed to see light waves and only at certain wavelengths at that. But technically, a detector have always been able to 'see' sound as impulses(or something else). Hope I helped you.
