Which products are formed when aluminum is added to a silver chloride solution? none only AlCl3 AlCl3 and Ag AlAg3 and Cl2 (I believe it's the third one, but I'm not sure.)

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Well, can you recall that aluminum can displace silver from its compound because of its position in the electromotive series. So you just switch their places.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh so it is the third one, AlCl3, and Ag because that would just be switching the Al and the Ag. Thank you.

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Yup. You're welcome.
