I need help understanding this problem. Graphing a linear equation (Image)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can rewrite that as y=3/4x+3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it means the same thing, and that puts it in slope-intercept form. Do you know how to graph that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And my username is a joke, don't worry XD

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

f(x) is the same thing as y, Change it to y, then it'll be y = mx+b y = 3/4x + 3 The y intercept is b ... in your problem, its 3 Plot it at (0,3) The slope is m or 3/4 ... you would do rise/run Go up from (0,3) to (0,6) and run to the left 4, which is (4,6)

I get clooosseee to where they want it but I keep being off? ;_;

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm trying to follow the example that they gave me x=0 g(x)= 3/4(0) so, that's zero. Then f(x)= 3/4x+3, ends up just being three so I have (0,3)

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

thats wrong, you need that slope to draw the line, Rise / Run In 3/4 Rise 3 Run 4
