what other information do you need to prove the triangles congruent using sas congruence

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

SAS means side-angle-side. so which sides are the same length in the two triangles?

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

I will give u one XZ=XZ....any other sides are the same too?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let me check

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

OK I will wait :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so xz wy

OpenStudy (nirmalnema):

XW= XY given XZ=XZ common between two triangles then angle WXZ=YXZ because angle z is bisected by line xz

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

yup yup so u got the two S in SAS...the only thing u need is the angle between the two lines which is angle WXZ and YXZ :)

OpenStudy (nirmalnema):

it is congurent because two sides and angle between these two are equal.. so it fulfills all the conditions of SAS congruency rule

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you guys are a huge help, posting another, I will eventually get some sleep..lol
